Most PCI-E chipsets do not support AGP although I believe VIA and ULI cooked up something which does but those chipsets are rare and only tend to come from manufacturers like Asrock.

Most boards with PCI-E that you will come across have an AGP emulation slot this is a slot compatible with some AGP cards but in reality this slot is plugged into the PCI bus so you do take a a small to moderate performance hit.

Be sure to check Asrocks site if this an emulated AGP slot as they should list what cards work with it .

If this is the Asrock board you were looking at this one does actually use a real AGP slot so no need to worry about the above.

Cant really offer any other suggestions if you want an AGP/PCI-E board as such things aren't too common.

L m not going to use my ati graphic card in new mobo
will be getting a ati x1900xt pci-e card
to migrate to pci-e ,i need new mobo
was only looking at this mobo because it has 3 pci32 slots ,alot of new mobos have only 1-2 pci32 lately
using 4 pci32 slots and can cutdown to 3
so looking for new mobo to migrate to pci-e g-card with at least 3 pci32 slots

    Ah I see, if its only a motherboard with 3-4 PCI slots then either of these should do;
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=307396 (3 slots)
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=312220 (4 slots)

I'd be wary about the usability of that slot near the PCI-E 16x slot on that 4 PCI slot motherboard especially considering the X1900XT is a dual slot cooler so you can kiss goodbye to any slot near it.

In fact you may want to consider an SLI board because of the buffer zone of the PCI-E slots the PCI slots are at the bottom of the board in this model you would get usable 3 PCI slots with the X1900XT present.

Also this ATI motherboard you might get away with all 4 PCI slots being usable with the X1900XT present though I cant say I've ever used them.

    cheers for that
What you think of this one
even if l use a x1900xt ,will be so far away and i didnt use other pci-e ,shouldnt interfer with other pci slots

Yeah you should be fine with that, high resolution image of the board at this link, with the X1900XT present all you will loose is a PCI-E x1 slot.

What you think of that mobo, seen on some forums where where issues with usb

Yeah it has crappy USB2 performance with the ATI south bridge, if you are not using external hard drives with it then I wouldn't worry about it. If you are then I would consider going with one of the nForce 4 boards or getting a PCI USB card to run those devices from but of course those PCI slots are at a premium with your setup.

Out of curiosity what do you have currently running in those 4 PCI slots ?
