    Just finished reading this... the cover says "the new da vinci code" although this book is nothing like the da vinci code. Characters.. not great I suppose..
    Anyway its pretty much a work of fiction set a towards the end of this decade so only a few years from now. The anonymous author uses the idea of global surveillance called the "vast machine" (sort of matrix like). Travellers are those that can leave their bodies and travel to other worlds (out of body experience) and come back changed and oppose the vast machine.

    Its all about opposing the lack of freedom we seem to have more and more of which in turn is disguised as being more safe for people when in fact its not.
    First in series.. a good read anyway.. worth a look but nothing like Da vanci code so don't let that fool you.
