    im moving to sligo town nxt week for work, so wots it like for social life, gettin to know people etc.

    im a bit scared really!!

    Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Social life is quite good in Sligo. Pubs like the left bank, mchughs and the belfry are good spots. Toffs would be the main nite club with envy being the main student venue. Sligo is a town that has really improved the last few years and you will enjoy the scene

    If you're a fan of Guinness... 'Shoot The Crows' is your only place

    Yep, Shoots is the best, great bar great people, just love it!

    Sligo has changed a lot over the years, went back home last Summer, there is a lot of building going on at the moment, but it's getting better and better.

    Me wants to go home :(

    Ship is still going facelift a few years ago..

    Clubs in Sligo
    Toff - Busiest like alot of Irish night clubs.
    Envy - Weekend very young crowd / weekdays students.
    New Club - Haven't been in it yet.
    Inishfree - Still running? sat night was the olde Clarance crowd, good dance music but not great club.

    Late night Bars
    Left Bank
    Fiddlers Creek.

    Pubs
    About 100 in the Town Boundaries..
