Wondering what the most expensive travel months are? I noticed aerlingus and everyone else jack up their prices in the summer but anyone know what range of dates ?

They don't necessarily increase the prices but probably lots more people travel with holidays etc. so the cheapest fares are gone.

Generally the further in advance you can book the cheaper it will be. Or wait til the last minute and hope or a bargain though no guarantee that prices will drop close to whatever dates you want.

Thanks for the reply. I'm 100% sure that they increase the prices during the summer months. Compare Aerlingus to NYC for SEPT and Novemeber, huge difference.

I'm interested in finding out when they lower their prices, when off season starts.

Not nessecarily. More people wan't to travel to NYC in September than in November. Plus September is closer (hence more cheap fares are gone) than November.

Most airlines have abandoned the "peak" and "off-peak" system.

    Have a look at http://www.travelocity.com

Use the option to book a flight with flexible dates and you should be able to find the cheapest fare to wherever you want.

    or http://www.skyscanner.net/
