    You might have seen this before but i needed to bump it and start it on a clean slate...

    i am looking to sell an expensive piece of software soon and i would like to know what price you think i could get for it. THIS IN NOT A SELLING POST SO PM ME IF YOUR INTERESTED! its 3D Studio Viz release 3, complete with instruction manual and hardware dongle (the security thing, don't quite know what its called). i want to sell it on ebay as soon as i can but i also want to put a reserve on it so that i don't get ripped out of it, thats why i want to find out hom much its worth...

    any thoughts?

    See how much it is new, and put a reserve of 55% - 65% that amount on it.

    thanks man... the only problem i have with that is the version i have now is unavailable to buy. i can still use your advice on the current version but i have a feeling if i did that i would be pricing myself out of the market... i'm looking for someone who would know something about the software that might be able to give me a "price they would pay for it" even if they weren't interested to buy

    How much do you think it's worth? I normally put a price I'd like to receive (realistically) and then but about 10% less then that as the reserve!

    well the new version is going from the oficial site for 2000 dollars, working out at about 1600 euro
    with your advice that would put me around the 900 euro mark but i would be VERY happy with 600... but i'm not sure if i'm talking nonsense over here...

    Stick a reserve of €500 - Is the same software on ebay already? Get an idea from that.

    nope... there ain't much of this software around. if there was then i wouldn't need to ask :p
