Using AIB banklink card in india and china

    My girlfriend is currently in india and will be going on to china in a few weeks, problem is that her AIB banklink card is not working in India. It has the plus symbol on it, so any one have any idea's as to whats wrong?

    She shouldn't have a problem really - guess she needs to speak to AIB directly

    Has to be a cirrus card, so it should have the cirrus symbol on it, i know i used a BOI card in India no probs.

    Whats the + symbol on it!!

    It doesn't have to be a Cirrus card. Cirrus is just a function provided through Mastercard which allows users with a Cirrus logo to withdraw from ATM's which take Mastercard. Plus is the same, except the system is operated by VISA.

    my aib card worked fine in india ....has a plus and a link logo on the back...

    In China you have very little chance ; most ATMs don't accept any sort of international card. The main bank branch(s) in the cities that do generally only accepy credit cards, not ATM cards.
