Reducing mp3 file size

The brother used windows media player to rip his CD collection to mp3 for his creative zen. However he used 256 kps quality and now can't fit everything on to his player. I am wondering is there software that lets you reduce the bit rate to say 128 kps without having to rerip from CD?

    Thanks :)

    No worries! :)

I'd say reduce to no less than 160kbps, if you can manage it. I think the sound quality (or lack of it) on a 128kbps file is noticeable......
