Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, i have a B.Rel.Sc (hons) in RE and history and a h.dip in archaeology (hons). I'd love to do a masters but need experience. Problem is i work in Social Welfare and the holidays are fairly short not like the teaching! So basically i was wondering if there is anywhere anyone knows of who would take a person on unpaid work-experience for approx 2 weeks. Any advice would be great!

That's the one all right. I don't know if it is open to non-UCD people though.

Artic Lemur, if you do a Fas Safe Pass you can apply to commercial sites as a digger and gain some experience that way. There are a number of digs going on in the Cork area at the moment I think, but there are some in the Tipperary/Limerick area.

You still looking for work experience? PM me your details. I might have something for you. It's commercial archaeology though. Don't know if that suits.

We don't do a lot of work in Dublin. There's another firm in offaly that do (the brother of one of my bosses runs it) that were looking for people recently. Their name is simply "The Archaeology Company". (by the way, just so I don't upset anyone, this is not a plug).

But in general these days there's so much work on that most companies are hiring. Check out the individual companies websites for job listings.
I'm not going to drop my company's name here, but if you want to PM me I'll send you on the address. We have jobs advertised at the moment.
