Mike Caro "The Mad Genius of Poker" is set to give a Poker Seminar in Trinity College on Thursday the 13th April from about 6 P.M. All are welcome to come along though capacity is limited and the room is expected to fill up early.

Mike Caro, is regarded as one of the world's foremost authorities on poker strategy, psychology, and statistics. He is also a noted gambling authority, industry consultant, spokesperson, and respected oddsmaker on current events and politics. He is famous for his book "Caros Book of Tells" and also contributed many statistical tables for Doyle Brunsons "Supersystems" along with the section on Draw.

The Seminar, hosted by The Trinity Cards Society, will be free to enter and takes place in the GMB/ Graduate Memorial Building just off front square of the college. ( The one that leads in from Dame St.).

The Trinity Cards Society would also like to thank Paddy Power Poker who have given us the opportunity to host such a high profile guest just before the Irish Open.

    Cheers,
    Rob Hume

Hi all. Paddy Power Poker have invited Mike over for the Irish Open and at our request he has agreed to hold this seminar and possibly a book signing also. Rob from Trinity has very kindly agreed to host the seminar in the prestigious surroundings of Trinity College :)

It will take place on Thursday 13th at 6pm in Trinity College.
Due to limited capacity I am leaving the invitations to this event in the very capable hands of Rob and his team.

We are really looking forward to meeting Mike and I would like to thank Rob for help in facilitating this.

There's only four days to go now until Mike Caro speaks in Trinity on Thusrsday 13th April. The Trinity Poker Society's 600+ members have been told to show up in the GMB where the Mike's talk is being given from 5.15 P.M on. Seats will be given on a first come first serve basis so we suggest you get there around the same time.

No change of date. Mike Caro in GMB Trinity seminar begins at 17:30 on 13th Aprill. As Rob says seats are limited so early arrival would be advised.

One day to go now. The event will start at 5.30 P.M on Thursday 13th April. We will also be providing food and drinks after the seminar thanks to support from PaddyPowerPoker.

The GMB building is located just off the front square in Trinity college. The best way to get there is to come in the Dame st. entrance and walk up by the left of the bell tower that faces you on the way in.

    See you all there,
    Rob

What time is the seminar due to finish!?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 32 Humer

For those familiar with Trinity the event will take place in the speakers chamber of the GMB where all high profile guests speak.

Mike should speak for about an hour followed by a question and answers session. The event should be finished by 7.30 or 8 P.M.

There will be food and drinks to follow if you would like to stay on.

This was very cool and kudos to the lads at Trinity and PPP for organising it. Mike seemed a really cool guy, came around 20 minutes before the start to shake the hands of everyone who was there early and ask us our names. I'm home for a quick pitstop before going to play poker, baby!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

A lot of it seemed to be from his bit in Super System 2.

In the beginning everything is even money and all that.
