    Hello,

Can anyone recommend some off-licenses in Dublin which have a good extensive selection of non-mainstream beers from around the world.

    Thanks,

    Jim :)

I find O'Briens in Sandymount good, also Sweeneys in Fairview, thinking about it most of them do these days.

    The best ones are:
    Sweeneys (Harts Corner)
    Redmond's (Ranelagh)

Sweeney's in Fairview is now called Lilac Wines btw. They do have a good range (they stock some nice ales you won't find elsewhere too easily).

Martin's, also in Fairview (on the main st.) are good, especially for German/Czech/Polish brews. They will order something for you if they don't have it in. It normally will take only a few days but you may have to order a half case.

I work in a shop called Bin No.9. It's a bit off the beaten track in Clonskeagh. We sell a good few weird beers: Samuel Adams, Cobra, Budvar... can't really think of too many off the top of my head.

    Jack Carville's.
    Good for wine too.

There's also one up on the South Circular Road opposite Griffith College.
Redmonds of Ranelagh. This would be about the best.

The Vintry in Rathgar village has quite a varied selection of word beers. The O'Brien's in Darty Village also has a few, though not as many.

Guys if you can remember the brands, can you list them please? There are tens of thousands of beers in the world (praise be) so if you could ID what your local offie sells it would help enormously.

A great wineshop, I'd recommend it. Decent selection of bottled beers.

I'd also recommend Redmonds, and Devneys in Dundrum.

That should be Mc Hugh's not Mc Cabe's. They have by far the best beer range that I have come accross (and I've been around).
