St Patrick's Night Around the World

I haven't seen a thread like this so I'm sorry if this type of thread has been posted already.

So how was St. Patrick's Day/Night for those of you are like myself - an Irish ex-Pat. But I don't mean a normal Ex-Pat (like one in the US, England/Scotland, Canada, Australia... etc) - I mean those of us in strange unlikely places.

This is how my St Patrick's Night went in Turku, Finland. I went to the Irish bar, of course, the Castle Bar, where I met up with a couple of Irish guys, a few English and Scottish guys, a South African, a Swede and whoever else was there.

A band was flown in from Cork whose members were Martin (I think), Owen and Brian. I can't remember the name of the band but they created a bit of atmosphere which isn't easy to do on a cold Finnish winter's night.

The Guinness was cheap - only €5.00  but it tasted sweet and went down very easily. The bar owner and management have done very well in making this bar as authentic as possible and it looks really good.
