Frustrating Search results

    Just did a search on carzone for All Diesel COUPEs, from €1 to €20001. Sorted by mileage low -> high, and these are the first 14 results!!!!

    1. Toyota Landcruiser 3.0 D4D LWB GX A/C AUTO
    2. Citroen Berlingo 1.9 Dsl 600kg
    3. Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 110BHP DT XS 3dr
    4. Volkswagen Bora 1.9 TDI Base
    5. Mercedes-Benz Vito CDI 108
    6. Citroen Xsara 1.4 HDI VTR COUPE
    7. Isuzu Trooper 3.0 TD EXECUTIVE A/C AUTO LWB (TOD)
    8. Nissan Micra 1.5 dci Visia
    9. Nissan Primera 2.2D ACENTA
    10. Ford Focus 1.8 TDDI
    11. Volkswagen Bora 1.9TDI
    12. Volkswagen Bora 1.9 TDI

    I had similar experience.

    the search functionality is as good as the consistency of the data it's searching.

    I think that people who enter the car details, don't populate all the fields(engine type, etc). They just have the car desc 1.9 JTD, and assume it's obvious, but search feature expects the car type to be specifically set to Diesel, etc....

    Maybe cbg should make the fields mandatory.

    BTW,

    They are DEALER ONLY results.
    You would expect that the person at the dealers responsible for uploading results would do it right.

    I probably should have posted this in the Rant sticky. Sorry.

    try using www.cbg.ie i find it much easier to search on.
