Self-dealt until the final table in a €100 FO. Are you serious?

Everyone who has play in pervious tournaments are happy with the game.

Players being happy doesn't mean something is right. If I'm paying €100 for a tourney I expect to have a dealer. Full stop.

Not that I am picking on anyone, but Green Joker Poker, who everyone that I have seen is happy with (I have never been there) only guaranteed dealers for last 18 players of the 100dc tourney. The fact that only 18 turned up doesn't change that fact. Also, do not Vegas Nights only provide dealers for last table too in 50 with 1 rebuy?

Different areas outside of Dublin cannot provide for the same logistics as ones inside, and I think if the tournament is well run that should be the main thing. I have never been to one of Potlucks tournies, but I have equally not seen any complaints either.

I applaud the effort of Potluck getting a good provincial game going with a transparent prizepool, upfront regfee, and apparantly decent structure going.

As has been said here before, decent tournies that are easy to see where the money go are always encouraged. I do not think it is righ to criticise this Ian when you have not (to my recollection) criticised similiar events that are run by more regular posters.

I am not by the way criticising any events here, and applaud both GJP and VN for their efforts in bring good poker to the general public. I may even attend one of these some day :)

Also, I rarely attend a dealer unattend tournament (only exceptions being freerolls, and occasionally Oscar's tournament). This being the case if I was in the area and this tournament was going on I would attend (and I am from Sligo so this may happen, probably not, but might)

    Cheers 5star.
Comming to sligo on the 6th august in The Southern Hotel, just booked today! not sure of the buyin etc thinking 250FO or even a rebuy event(any suggestions?) but not positive untill this friday and there will be dealers at all table.

Unfortunately I have 2 weddings I probably have to go to that weekend, so prob won't make it. Sounds like a game I would attend though if this wasn't the case, esp it being a bank holiday weekend.
