It changes all the time but since the first time I heard it till last night when it came on Born Slippy is the one, there is a subculture that i would call my generation and Born Slippy is our anthem, I deeply deeply distrust anyone that deosn't like that track (dot, dot dot)

Agreed! 'Push Upstairs' is far superior!

Born Slippy is still not as impressive as Push Upstairs. I don't care what anyone says. Except Basquille, who will quote me before I post this.

That's how impressive Push Upstairs is, it transcends the space time continuum.

Don't get me wrong Push is beyond reproach( i'm full of fancy words tonight) but Born Slippy is just... ahh man... Born Slippy like... ye know what I mean, "dun dun dun dun dun, Drive boy dog boy
Dirty numb angel boy, In the doorway boy, She was a lipstick boy, She was a beautiful boy, And tears boy, And all in your innerspace boy, You had, hands girl boy, and steel boy, You had chemicals boy, I've grown so close to you
Boy and you just groan boy
    She said comeover comeover
    She smiled at you boy."
and the strob is flashing and the lasers are flying and your feet are moving and everyone is smiling and ahhhhh fukkk, I feel it even now like it was the first time.

oh my god i love this song

the opposite is" jesus christ i hate this song"

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 16,698 Mod ✭✭✭✭Silverfish

So Oh my god means you love something, and jesus christ means you hate something?

So I should be screaming 'Jesus christ LAAAAAAG' instead of 'OMG LAAAAG' while bashing my face into a CRT monitor?

Okay well on a more serious note ( note?? Eh? Note? Geddit?)

I have millions of songs, but here are mine:

We Close Our Eyes by Go West
    Fantastic Day by Haircut 100
    Push Upstairs by Underworld.
    Dirty Harry by Gorillaz

    Nearly everything by DJ Shadow.

So now. I've contributed, back to taking the piss.

That would have been 'Stem'. With the twins and the water towers and the splashing and gushing and the so on. That ad made me want to go for a pee more than have a pint.

And from the past!! The past!! I'll have you know DJ Shadow released an album in....er....em...2002.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,099 ✭✭✭✭WhiteWashMan

yeah, but the one with the water tower is from around 94 if i recall...
    or maybe 95.

however, im a hooer for 80s music. i'll dance to anything from the 80's.
in fact, i'll dance to anything when im drunk.
