I am going to do a setlist at a small local venue, like a rock/indie/alternative night.

Im thinking along the lines of:
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Ain't No Easy Way
    Kasabian - Club Foot
The Smiths - This Charming Man
    Led Zeppelin - Black Dog
    The Beastie Boys - Sabotage
Primal Scream - Movin’ On Up
Super Furry Animals - Northern Lites
    Soup Dragons - I'm Free
    Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy
    The Beatles - Revolution
    Pulp - Disco 2000
    Graham Coxon - Freakin' Out
    The Stone Roses - Waterfall

Is there any other stuff like that which would would like to hear?

I'm just going to bring my laptop with Traktor and hook it up the the PA by a UBS audio interface.

White Stripes - Fell in love with a girl.
Janes Addiction - Been caught stealing
    QOTSA - Noone knows
Libertines - Cant stand me now
Stereophonics - Local boy in a photograph

But in all honesty, the list is endless. Good choices so far.

I get annoyed when I don't hear any new tracks when pubs are doing these sort of nights. They are surprising and when someone recognises it you can notice them prop up.

You got some good stuff there. Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart wouldnt go amiss.

As has been alluded to already, would you not try spicing it up a bit with some tracks that you won't hear in any/every "alternative" club, any night of the week?

Please don`t play This Charming Man by The Smiths

it`s the cliche song that is played and is the sign of a lazy/bad DJ.

Im not suggesting I know its over but these are all viable and better alternatives

There is a light that never goes out
    Panic
    Girlfriend in a coma
    Shoplifters of the world unite
    Heaven Knows im miserable now
    Bigmouth strikes again

Some Morrissey would be good also

    Irish blood English heart
    You have killed me
    Suedehead
The first of the gang to die
    nobody loves us
why dont you find out for yourself
    or Everyday is like sunday

As we are in Ireland why not throw in some Irish acts like Dave couse, A House, Fat lady sings, gemma hayes, sack, damien Dempsey, woodstar, devlins, intermediate, emmet tinley, etc etc

good list indeed especially The National and HOTS but a lot of those songs may not be particularly apt for playing in a club. Oh and i really don't like orgasm addict or in fact any buzzcocks song other than Ever Fall...

Are you going to be DJ-ing or just putting together a playlist for the house sound system?

If you're DJ-ing I find that playlists are very restrictive and even a really cool mix can go down like a lead balloon depending on the crowd. You need the flexibility to ditch a set and go for a change of direction if needs be. I have never DJ-ed with a laptop before and I fear the day I have to. I find it easier to visually sift through CD's as the night progresses - not sure how easy it is to flick through MP3's on a hard drive. Just have the first and last song in mind and you'll be fine!

My usual method for DJing involves taking with me a big bag of CDs and seeing how it goes. I normally have a general plan outlined but you have to be prepared to drop everything and normally the part of your set that you think won't be that popular is the one that gets the whole room going *thinks back to indie-disco freakout to Squarepusher*
