Wonder if this can be done with the standard XP 'Send To' menu..

Basically, let's say i have for example a folder on the root of my drive called 'College' which contains subfolders for various subjects i do at college. In those subfolders are documents related to that subject. Can i have a 'Send To' option to highlight over College and then cascade out the various folders to enable you to send the file to it.

    I haven't seen it done.

Just in case i'm not explaining it well (which i don't think i am) - see below:

EDIT: I've accidentally selected the 'New' item option in that example but you get the picture.. that's supposed to be 'Send To' with the various elements you can send it to opposite (3 1/2 floppy etc.).

yes it can, browse to c:\documents and settings\user\sendto and add folders there, in the folder put a shortcut to the folder on c:\

All the Send To items are shortcuts in a hidden folder in your user profiles root folder. You could create a folder called College in there and create shortcuts to all the subfolders inside in that.

    Cheers fellas..

Knew of the hidden Send To folder but assumed the only way would be to move the entire College folder there.

    Thanks again!

On the subject of the send to menu, is there anyway to take entries out of it? I know i can just delete the ones from the hidden send to floder but what about the ones not shown in there?

the powertoy tweakxp lets you remove entries from the "new" menu, although photoshop psd and openoffice ones won't stay gone for me for some reason

edit:// just found this program, gonna try it later
edit:// also, to disable the sendto completely.. URL="http://www.tipmonkies.com/2006/03/01/disable-the-send-to-context-menu/"]link[/URL
    also some good tips here
