'Snakes On A Plane' footage..

Yep, there has been frantic internet hype over this film mainly due to the film's title (even t-shirts for fecks sake), the quite daft storyline (which you can establish from the film's title) and the fact Samuel L. Jackson agreed to take part in what potentially sounds like a 2am movie on Sci-Fi.

But now.. some footage from the film has hit!

The trailer footage below clearly is taking the piss with ludicrous moments (e.g Sam cocks his gun and says "i've had it with these snakes!" :rolleyes:) and some very very questionable CG but could work in it's charm!

As someone who already owns one of those tshirts, I say "Yay". I think anyone that rolleyes at this self-consciously stupid film is missing the point.

My god that's some appauling CG, and the minimal dialogue is even worse.

But with that title, well they could film a hot turd slowly drying up and cracking, put it on general release and call it "snakes on a plane" and I'd be there with bells on, twice.

Nice to see a total pisstake movie for once, is this a cheeky look at the demise of the blockbuster??

To me it seems like a cheap,crappy straight to video film except it stars Sam Jackson. I mean that in a good way. I'm looking forward to seeing this film.

UPDATE: According to New Line, the footage is not a trailer, rather an assemblage of clips exclusive to TagWorld. The effects seen in this footage aren't finished & are works in progress, not reflecting the film's final effects work. The official teaser trailer should be coming in about a month.

I'll most likely go and see this film but come on really Sam Jackson With a Gun taking out Snakes...on a Plane. Oh so cheesy. MAybe with the final effect the CGI will look much better but the general concept seems overall....well Bad. I'll still look out for it.

I'm all about cheesyness in Movies.

I've been looking forward to this for a while. It's the kind of film that should come with a free pizza and a six pack. Perfect Friday night material.

Oh, well, I'll be looking forward to seeing the teaser anywho. Although I'm not sure I'll be dying to see this at a the cinema. Seems very much the kind of film that must be watched in the comfort of your own home.

Yeah I couldn't view the trailer either, but the second set of links are hilarious!

I've avoided this thread because I didn't know what the film was and from the title I thought it sounded cheesy....I didn't know how brilliantly cheesy! Or that Sam L was in it! Can't wait now.
