    Temps this time last year.

While temps have struggled to 5C today, this day last year I had 19.6C

    It was 17C in Dublin.

Generally the 19th was warmer with 20.7C in Valentia, the highest March temp in Ireland for 40 years

Brrrrr, just back from the parade in Carlow town and my hands and face are numb! Darn cold out there, a stiff easterly blowing and a dark, grey, misserable day overall. Some difference from last year alright

Evelyn Cusack said that yesterday, in Dublin Airport, was the third coldest St. Patrick's Day ever. Cork had its second coldest day yesterday.

The coldest St. Patrick's Day in Ireland was during the legendary winter of 1979.
