truth is indeed stranger than fiction:

    THE SUN NEWSPAPER
    By MIKE SULLIVAN
    and VERONICA LORRAINE

Ten days after Britain's biggest-ever cash robbery of 53 million pounds (92 million dollars), five people were in custody Friday, as police recovered 'several million pounds' from the heist dumped on an industrial state in London.

The fifth person charged in connection with the robbery Friday was named by police as 33-year-old Lea Rusha. Late Thursday, police charged Jetmir Bucpapa, a 24-year-old man believed to come from Eastern Europe.

It is believed that the most important police catch so far is British car dealer John Fowler, who owned the farming and country house estate in Kent, southeast England, where hostages seized by the criminals were taken.

Fowlers business accomplice, Stuart Royle, and his hairdresser girlfriend, Kim Shackleton, have also been charged in connection with the robbery.

The raid, by at least six armed and masked men, on a private security depot in Tonbridge, Kent, on February 22, was the biggest in British history.

Police said they recovered 'several million pounds' of bank notes from the raided depot during the search of an industrial estate in south London Friday.

Investigators were seen carrying several black bags from the premises Friday. But they declined to specify the amount recovered.

Two days after the robbery, police found 1.3 million pounds of the stolen money in a vehicle abandoned by the armed thieves.

But the bulk of the stolen money, which included 25 million pounds belonging to the Bank of England, remains to be found.

Speculation has been growing in the British media that the haul could have been whisked away to France through the Channel Tunnel, which is some 30 kilometres from the scene of the robbery.

KICKBOXER and cage fighter Lee Murray is being sought by police over the 53 million Tonbridge raid.

But the 28-year-old is thought to have disappeared to Spain.

Detectives have said they wanted to talk to Murray, but his family and manager have said they have no idea where he is.

Murray, nicknamed “Lightning” Lee, is rated as one of the best middle-weight fighters in the world.

He hit the headlines last year after he was stabbed at a mass brawl outside a posh London nightclub.

At one stage he was left fighting for life after receiving several stab wounds.

Father of two Murray - real name Lamrani — was once accused of battering a middle-aged driver into a coma during a road rage incident. He was freed after a jury failed to reach a verdict.

So far police investigating the Tonbridge cash depot robbery have recovered £20million of the £53million stolen.

Five people have already appeared in court over the heist, charged with conspiracy to rob, kidnap and handling stolen goods.

I always wonder how scum bags like this guy, make it into posh nightclub.

Dublins so called posh clubs like Lillies and Renards, have their fair share of criminal minded thugs too. I though posh clubs existed to keep people like that out.

I suppose with a pocket full of coke money and a fancy suit, they pass it off.
