I am very confused. I see phones available on Ebay by power sellers and whatnot...and they ask you to email an alternative address...

Here is such a link: I do not understand it...

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5881109146&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3A%3A1&rd=1

I asked the bloke how much is it to ship to Ireland and he tells me to email his alternative address in which he then says the following:
    dear sir

The total price for the Nokia N92 or the 8800 is 300$ and in this price is included shiping taxes, postage and delevery to your shipping adress
The PRODUCTs are brand new, unloocked and is included ful accesories.
The delevry proces is in max two days.
I have been frauded twice in the past , so i decided to play it safe !
I want to do this transaction under the security of ebay .Here is how
we are going to do this . After you will give me your details , i will
contact ebay about this transaction. They will check both of us , and i
everything is in order ebay will reply whith a confirmation containing
all the details about shipping and payment
We can make the deal safe for both of us trought eBay !
I will contact them and arange the deal safe ,
If you accept please give me your full name and adress.
    Name:
    Adress:
    City:
    Zip Code:
    Country:

    regards

What the **** is that all about???

    It's a scam.

its strange that all the feedback that this user has received has been for linen and not for mobile phones, then again they may have just started selling them, but its a strange leap to make from linen to phones and laptops.
Also the seller is listed as being in the UK but the prices are in dollars, again could be nothing.
Proceed with caution, if at all.

I noticed the exact same thing!!!

But every punter on ebay selling new phones, the indentitys are all private and they ask you to email them for best prices! so dodgy...i dunno what the hell to do.

I just checked the link and did anyone else notice the boxes are from Sun Microsystems?

Interesting for a guy trying to sell Nokia phones.

Also the use of English is pretty bad

I'd give this seller a WIDE BIRTH...

Yeah I noticed that myself. I think the original power seller was hacked or something. ****ing joke. But to buy a phone off this lad would be like leaving your credit card details in the hands of a homeless person. It's just way too dodgy.

Pissed off ex-employee. Keyloggers, weak passwords not to mention the amount of computers on the web riddled with trojans, the list goes on.
