Can anybody tell me what spec I should get, and what service & repair option is best? Also is it ok to buy on the dell employee purchase site? I'm new to Notebooks - have a desktop that I bought in 2000, but I dont have much space for it - that's why I considering a notebook.

The spec you should get depends on what you want to do with it. You need to elaborate.

The EPP site is great. It's the exact same product & service but costs 7% less. Use it if you qualify.

I'm posting this message from the Inspiron 1300 I bought from the epp 2 weeks ago. :)
