Bugger I better get one, are they likely to sell out soon? Last year was excellent, really enjoyed Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

I'm refusing to buy a ticket until the line-up is announced on principle (Just for the heck of it). It has an awful lot to live up to after last year...

They have only released a portion of the tickets so far. The majority have been held back until the lineup is announced. The launch party is next Thursday, so expect a line up announcment soon.

Nah the tickets haven't sold out yet!

They will, but like it is five months down the line! Also they've only announced half the acts so there are a lot left to be announced! ;)

Does anyone know if there will be any day tickets available in the future? Seems to me like they're gonna try sell it out on 3 day passes. Bad form if you ask me.

It doesn't appear there will be any day tickets.

yeah no day tickets this year, its 30,000 tickets so they should be able to sell it out you would imagine on camping tickets alone.

    True. It's a bleedin disgrace.

Have to disagree with you there. No day trippers meant that security once you re in could be even more low key. I remember one of the few 'issues' last year was day ticket holders trying to get into the campsite on the Saturday night. Also I think it benefits the atmosphere if everyone is camping. Most of the better festivals (Glasto, Roskilde etc all have a weekend only option)

So I can see that it may be a annoyance to some, for the festival as a whole I reckon its a positive

It'll also take longer to sell out - won't it? - since fans are limited to the camping option.

This too would be a great advantage - to those of us who can't yet purchase our tickets!

I think that if people can only go for 3 days, the crowd in general will be a lot younger, thus an increased chance of trouble either at the event or in the village afterwards. Any hassle with the locals and that'll be the end of that!

I disagree. The general crowd at Glastonbury (an all camping event) is actually quite old! I think thats what the general aim of EP. With the addition of the camper van site means they're targeting people who have no intention of spending 3/4 nights in a tent and have the money to do something about it.

I personally think its a great idea.

Exactly; let all the scobie bast***s go to HI Fi, and destroy Mullingar. I'm going to EP to chill out and listen to new music, as well as find some like minded people (and not get pissed on rum on the Friday again and nearly miss everything due to worst hangover ever!)

    God, I miss pie-minister!
