drug trials gone bad

    was listenting to this on the news this morning, and found story on bbc, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/4811626.stm

    sounds a bit horrific, they started to rip their shirts off soon after being injected, and their heads swelled to 3 times their size.

    i guess this will make people think twice before being a guineepig for cash.

    yeah, sounds horrible. the irish guys girlfriend said his face was like the elephant man and his firend could not even bear to see him...
    sounds very bad... :(

    I heard that there are posters in colleges around Ireland asking people to take part in similar trials. Is this true? Has anyone seen any?

    Human clinical trials are very common, and in the vast, vast majority of them there are no problems. Something like 100,000 people volunteer every year in the UK.
