I cannot send a thing from gmail for days now. on IBB

    I have ALWAYS had trouble with gmail using IBB, never a problem with eircom.

    I used to always have to click attach file, and cancel it before a message would send. For the last 2 months or so it steadily got worse, it would spend ages and then get a "oops, try again later" message. After 2-5 tries it would send the message. These are messages with no attachments or fancy fonts etc. Now I cannot send a single message at all. After 20 tries, nothing.

    Is there anything I could try? settings etc. I am using IE 6

    The message I always get now is
    "unable to reach gmail, please check your internet connection and try again"

    Ebay is also terrible, and some sites always pack in when I try and make payments.

    I've been experiencing similar problems.
    I think there's something up with Gmail. Was working fine yesterday, today I can't send a thing. Pain in the hole.

    Change the MTU on your router from 1500 to 1460. Fixed that prob for me.
