Given the snow in Dublin this morning it could be chilly!

But will definitely be out and about hoping for a bit of sun. :)

Hopefully get around to installing the car alarm and definitely go for a few spins (but not litereally I hope)

The weather this weekend will help persuade me to fix the heating in the car, have all the parts, just lazy.
By the way, anyone know of what I could put on the exhaust pipes to insulate them so the floor of the car won't become toasty warm after a few miles, is there something specific that can be bought?

I'm sorting out some electrics on my car, fitting some new door/etc seals. Also have an oil-pressure-gauge to put in, and an alarm although that might have to wait.

Have just taken delivery of these goodies :)

€600 of parts there !! The metal panels will get added to the car later on as soon as I buy some more tools. But before that I still need to sort out my tappet problems - hence the new buckets, cams, springs etc I bought. All good fun especially as I have to do it in the open air... brrrrrrrr...

Anybody on for a spin to Phoenix Park on Sunday ? I might have this sieve running by then.

I like the sound of Sunday in the park

Not a bad plan as long as it not too early....

    2pm at the Pope's Cross ?

I'll be in the yellow Stag if it's running, or a red MX5 if it's not (although dammit that thing is running on 3 cylinders as I'm waiting on new ignition leads)

Bringing the Fiat 850 out on a Parade today and maybe going to a car/tractor run in Mountbellew on Sunday. Hopefully selling my Triumph 2000 MK1 on Sunday too, mixed feelings about selling the Triumph, its got a great shell and interior but let down by poor paint , slight miss in engine and a gearbox that jams up leaving only 4th. I just haven't the time, money, skill,or space to give it the attention it needs:(

If it were a bit warmer, it would have been a perfect day for a meet. As it was, five of us turned up at the Pope's Cross: me, Mustang68, Alfarock, Dave, Stevo11 in a Stag, Mustang, Alfa, and a pair of MX5s respectively

    Pics here: http://www.mx5ireland.com//members/frank/2006Mar/

BTW I spotted some rust on the Alfa !! (the screw holding the right indicator lense on - that's about all :) )

Great pics - the Alfa brings back memories of my Gt 1300 Junior.;)

brilliant pictures, thanks. that's a well detailed engine in the mustang. the alfa is pant moisteningly gorgeous.

Good to met up alright, hopefully we can get a few more cars out soon when the weather warms up a bit.

Would'nt be a 'proper' Alfa without some rust on it :)

Yeah, was good fun - I never really get to see Alfas, Mustangs etc up close - and it's different at shows like Terenure, for example, as you're overwhelmed by all the different cars on display and don't get to tyre-kick and chat.

Sht, I thought it was a saturday meet, would have liked to go up for an hour. Nice pics btw.

stripped the girlfriend's tractor back to the sled (engine, box, axle basically) did a lot of jizering powerwashing and cleaning and then put on 5 coats of paint yesterday.

2 primers and 3 top coats

3 litres of paint, it's amazing how much gets wasted trying to get total coverage on stuff like that, should be able to do all the panelwork in less than a litre

would upload a pic, but it seems broken :(

Good to meet up with ye. Nice to talk to people about other classics and not just American Muscle ! Great set of pics too. Loved those MX5s and the Alfa and the Stag were in great condition.

Yup, good to put faces to names. Great to see the diversity (spl?) of models out for a meet.

Frank, thanks for the spin in the Stag! Loved driving it! Would seriously consider one in the future!
