Yep, 37.5 is the profit on the place part of your e/w bet but on the win part, you lose 3, so the overall profit is 34.5.

To think of it another way, if you had €3 e/w on a 50/1 shot that placed at 1/4 the odds, you'd get a return of €40.50, which is a net profit of €34.50 on the bet.

Pighead

Absolute carnage today. Not even a placed effort to ease the crushing defeats. Hopefully tomorrows fare will treat Pighead better. On the plus side its great to see all the giggling office chicks in the smelly bookies all this week.

Although I am glad its just for the week. I'm pretty sure the novelty of hearing them saying "Why don't we just put a euro on all the horses" would wear off pretty quickly.
