    Can't say I heard of Hagstrom before, but the specs are great and the guitar is just beautiful.

    Hagstrom are Swedish I believe.
    FWIW The only reason I've ever heard of them is that Bryan Ferry is posing with one on the inside cover of the second Roxy Music album. (And Phil Manzanera has his red Firebird)

    The Line 6 Variax bass uses a Hagstrom as one of it's models. They made 8 and 12 string basses in the late 50's (the first, according to Line 6), and Jimi Hendrix and Noel Redding both played one.

    Yer face the geetar player out of Franz Fredinand plays a Hagstrom. Very nice guitars. I saw one in Switerland.. "I think we'd better go before I orgasm".

    Well im looking to buy new guitar soon. I've been thinking about/saving for a good while now. Just cannot decide what to go for, anyone any other recommedations within that price range?500-600

    a good few of the lads on here (including meself) have the strat...check out johnny storms recent post for linkage and general chit chat...

    also i see our friendly neighbourhood mod feylya still has his ibanez sz520qam for sale for around that price..that'd be a nice guitar for the price too
