    are you on a network? Home wireless network etc? Could be a shared printer on the network?

    Ok, last week sometime my pc (XP) upon startup starts displaying "found new hardware"(Printer) and starts the install process.
    Problem is this pc has never had a printer attached, ever????
    Anyway, selected dont attempt to install this again, still comes up. Stopped printer spool service, still coming up!
    Anyone any ideas??????

    Is the account you're using an administrator account?

    On admin account had to give permission to myself to delete it. Did so. restarted same thing.
    Completed the install and selected do not attempt this agai, restarted, same thing. Its stupid cause i ve never has a printer connected to this pc
