There's a line down my laptop screen. When I move it slightly it sometimes vanishes.

Whats wrong? How do I fix it?

    Cheers

    Hub,

This is a line of light, either vertically or horizontal on the screen, right?

If so, this is a problem with the LCD. If you hold the side of your laptop too hard or if there is allot of pressure on the LCD can cause this problem.

The bad news is that you would have to send it for repair.

Is it still under warranty? If so you can try and make them replace it.

LCD's are expensive to replace/repair, what make model is it?

    Thanks for the reply,

Its just a straight line. Its like somebody drew it with a ruler.

Draw a line with a pen on a page vertically. Its like that

    Yes I have done this!

Most Dell warrantys are for 3 years, most of the time the tech will come to you. You should check your warranty status.
