Does anyone know of any landline telephones which are a bit different, I am currently on the look out for a phone to go into a tv room which has a Pio 43" on the wall and amazing looking Mordaunt Short Genies on the walls..

I dont want to put in a boring Eircom phone but I dont want to spend €400 on a B&O phone either!!

Ideally I'd like it to be colour screened and with the ability to play mp3s!!

    Cheers

    How about

For a corded phone with colour screen and optional bluetooth module:

    http://uk.doro.com/products/viewproduct?c=4&p=10

    EUR96 from http://www.phonesonline.ie

    or

Cordless with colour, SMS and polyphonic ringtones:

    http://uk.doro.com/products/viewproduct?c=3&p=8

They don't have price for Cordless phone.

BTW I am NOT associated with either company, but have used Doro before and found them "different"

    Hi Emul,

many thanks for the reply!! I never heard of Doro, is there any shops in Dublin where I can see them in the flesh??

And can you elaborate on "different" please, is that a good or bad different??

    Cheers Branners

Don't know of any stockist in Ireland. I say different because their design is unusual, I used them as a business phone and feedback rated from "cool" to doesn't look like a business phone!! Certainly for the price the design stands out.

    Hi Quazzy,

I'd like it but I reckon the wife might have something to say about it!!

I must have a ring around, there is a phone shop on the top of Dawson St so I might give them a shout!!

I reckon for the price I cant go wrong, I reckon I might take a chance on one of them..

    Many thanks again
