Just got NTL broadband last friday for 29.99 a month and was just wondering is the 30GB monthly allowance 30GB downstream & 30GB upstream a month or 15GB downstream & 15GB upstream a month.

It doesn't matter, NTL are not strict about the cap. If you go way over the cap (seems to be >100GB) every month, then they will send you a letter asking you to reduce your usage for the benefit of everyone.

I have never heard of them ever charging anyone or kicking anyone off for going over the cap. So don't worry about it.

I take down about 60 gigs a month on a 40 gig cap and they've never said anything to me. They don't really enfore the cap unless you really take the piss on it.
