    Hi All,

Theres been a few people looking for an entry level racer - I've been offered a brand new Barracuda Azzurri 05 for stg£160 - specs are here .

Can anyone tell me if this is a decent price for the specs?

    Cheers,

    Guv.

you can't go far wrong for that price, but the spec isn't great.
downtube shifters and an old style stem are awkward.

however for the price (dirt cheap) it is fine, there is a similar spec yellow falcon in a few of the shops around dublin for about €300..

Don't be so hard on the downtube shifters - they still get used by some pros in certain situations.

Check out this picture of Armstrong from last years TdF and spot the downtube shifter for his chain ring (a lot of pro riders use this kind of setup in the mountains as they don't do that much shifting at the front during those days).
