I've decided to give the GC one last go (:)) and pick up as many second hand games online as I can. Here's my list. I've left anything that is available on the other consoles, and of course, anything that doesn't interest me that much (the RE series, etc). Anything in particular I should / shouldn't be getting?

    FZero
    Kirby Air Ride
    Mario Kart Double Dash
    Metal Arms
    Metroid Prime
    Metroid Prime 2
    Paper Mario
    Super Mario Sunshine
    Super Smash Bros
    Tales of Symphonia
    Zelda Wind Waker

I'd leave out kirbys air ride because it's a bit rubbish. You also should really get Resident Evil 4. It's nothing like the old games, it's now an out and out action adventure instead of survival horror and a bloody fantastic one at that. You should get Baten Kaitos, along with Paper Mario 2 and tales of symphonia they are the best RPGs on the console. Skies of Arcadia also if you don't have it on the DC. Battalion Wars is far better than the reviews say it is and also Chibi Robo is out soon. Make sure Pikmin 1 + 2 are on that list. The Viewtiful Joe games should be on there if you aren't a pansy and Ninja Gaiden gave you nightmares. Can't think of much more atm.

Zelda collector's edition if you can get your hands on it. The GC version of Soul Calibur 2 is the best of the 3, Donkey Konga and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat are great fun... and pretty much what Retr0 said.

Oh, I should have added what I currently have/had in the past:

    Animal Crossing
    Billy Hatcher
    Donkey Konga
    Harvest Moon
    Pikmin
    Pikmin 2
    RE 4
    Viewtiful Joe

I heard that Fire Emblem is utterly fantastic and better than the already excellent GBA games. It's on my wanted list as well.

I really want to get Chibi-Robo on import, looks great and Eurogamer gave it 9/10 :)

It's getting a PAL release soon so you can get your staff discount then :)
Yes it does look like great fun.

Out of that list I'd get Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine, Zelda and Paper Mario first. All absolute classics (although Zelda is a little on the short side).

I've only started Metroid Prime 2 myself and from what I've played it's just as good as MP1 but a bit darker.

Mario Kart DD and Smash Bros. are both great games but a bit over rated.

The rest I haven't played but I've heard that Kirby's Air Ride is awful.

i wouldn't rate SMS as a classic. it's a great game though and definitely worth owning.
Metroid Prime should be your first port of call, followed by MP2 if you're left thirsting for more (which you will be:) )
Paper Mario is a damn fine game as well. i must get around to finishing that final boss battle actually... (damn cut scenes are putting me off :/)

Mario Kart and SSBM both come into their own when played with a mate or 3, the single player modes for both left me feeling cold (same with Monkey Ball 2)
i wouldn't advise buying either unless you have someone to play against.

Super Smash Bros. Melee i think?

    Ah, right.

Good to know that Mario Kart and SSBM (!) are both weak when it comes to the SP, that moves them down my list.

U should really get Eternal Darkness!!
It's by far the best game ive played on the gamecube and i think its exclusive to it. the story is great and its a very original game.

Myself on the other hand didn't think Eternal Darkness was anything special. The story was excellent and the creepy atmosphere was spot on. However the game was badly executed with a woeful combat and magic system and not very interesting puzzles and enviroments.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures is great too.

I've been playing through it again recently as I picked up an extra GBA SP cheap here on boards.

Truly amazing multiplayer experience and still a great Zelda game on single player.
