Tryed playing LIM .25/.50 today on PPP, i usually play .10/.20 NL.

I making alot of profit. People just call and call hoping to hit.
I play very tight naturally and when i hit a hand i just keep raising and everyone keeps calling with nothing alot of the time and then fold out when they reach the river with nothing.

And even when i have a half decent hold cards its easy to see the flop, its rarely raised and even if it is is only 2xBB or so.

On alot of the sites, the very lowest stake games can have a higher standard of play than some of the others. I'm think this is because players who play for fun, but are good players, play there as they understand about bankrolls, whereas the people with $10 to spend on this poker thing, will often join a .50/1 (for most sites thats the max level their stake will let them buy in at).

I noticed a while back on the $1/$2 limit tables the standard getting way better and even pretty high(on interpoker, Will hill). I think this is due to people who understand poker and br management taking advantage of bonus offers to build there br. Some dentist from ohio who deposits $600 into an account isnt gonna sit at a $1/$2 table his intial instinct will to probably go $3/$6 or $5/$10. Even now when I check the $1/$2 tables on interpoker players seeing flops are almost always less than 30% and usually around the 25% mark while higher limit tables have much higher players to flop. When I started playing these tables they were crazy wwith plenty of loose action but they dont seem to be that way anymore.

I don't really understand how to play this game.

Let's say it's heads up on the flop and I have some kind of a draw. The other guy bets into me. I always have odds to call, so I go to call, then I figure I might blow him off his hand, so I raise. He makes it three bets. Oops - now I realise I need to make my hand to win. But I might as well raise it to disguise my hand, especially since four bets is a cap. So I raise. So I end up paying four bets for my gutshot + overcard, when it was barely worth one. And this happens every single time.

One of these days I'll figure it out.

Thats the thing, i rarely chase a hand. Unless i have great odds.

When i hit on the flop just raise and most people will call. raise again on the turn and river. This builds up the pot alot and costs you very little.

If you play a tight game and then bet and raise as much as possible when you hit alot of profit is made.

Well thats the way im doing it at the moment and it seems to be working

Just bet and raise if you have any kind of a draw or any ace - even the bluff 3bet on the river as everyone is sticking it in with draws theres loads of questions to ask

Also the number of people who will keep calling your bets when it's obvious you've hit your hand makes it quite advantageous to play. You do have to be in a different mindset than for NL play though.

I'm giving this a go at the moment but I'm confused.

    On VC:
.25/.50 on the tin= .12/.25 in the actual game???

The 25/50 refers to the bet size on the flop and post flop. So BB is 25 the turn bet is 50
