Techno clubs in Berlin

I tried this in the dance music forum, but didn't get much response, so thought I'd give it a whirl round these parts: -
I'm going to Berlin with the girlfriend in April and am trying to find a decent techno club to take her to, but as far as I can work out, they've been closing down all the good ones I can find on the Internet.

So, anyone any ideas/recent experience. Criteria are: really hard techno through a fat soundsystem, ease of scoring(!) and room to dance like spastics.

    Cheers.

i havent been there since 98, lived there for a while. i know tresor is still going one of the best if not thee best techno clubs in the world....low ceilings, thumping music nearly pitch black till lasers kick in ...it was mental...deadly dj's from the label aswell...felix da house cat and robert armani were tearing it up..one of the best nights i ever had...couldnt speak fu'k all german either!!
another place is Tacalis( probably spelt wrong) its an outdoor kinda of cafe club mental kip just on a load of waste land in the middle of the city..goes all day and night...can be dodgy but theres no bouncers or even signs of any type of management kind of a crusty hangout no rules...
if your not afraid of bum bandits(no reason to be!) some of the gay clubs are banging ,Connection for one they had the best float at the LOve Parade for music(techno-deep house breaks mix in 98 was before its time)
,sure if your their with your missus wont make any difference. like i said was there in 98 but i reckon the scene is still strong...its a cool city..people have this stereo type of germans but i can tell ya berlin is a world in its self...can be very bogey but make sure you know where your going

Unfortunately, Tresor closed in the past couple of years (according to what I've read, anyway, correct me if I'm wrong) and according to other stuff I've read the hard techno's going/gone out of fashion in Berlin. I'm not a fan myself, so I've no idea what names to look out for (except for the obvious ones, like Jeff Mills or Dave Clarke). I'm completely not worried about gays and have read & heard they have the most banging nights(!), so that's all good if anyone has any ideas.

It's a pity your not going in November, ilovetechno is on then, went to it twice when I was younger, great techno festival. A few times I think they had an open air one around april/may so might be worth checking.

Tresor is closed now, but was a legendary place. If E-Werk is the same building (an old electricity generating station as far as I remember) it would definitely suit all of the OP's requirements. But it's nearly ten years since I was there.
BTW the letter E in German is pronounced 'AY'
