    Stop bumping the thread incessantly.

Why not send the invoice as a PDF? Password optional.

Via email are legal if they have digital or electronic signature.

Then different requirements apply to different countries.

Someone can read it but the chances of anyone bothering to is low. Unless your invoice contains something down right dodgy I wouldn't worry too much.

I assume you are worried about address and other details being seen?

if u have sage u can send an invoice by email. they also have a thing called 't-mail' which is secure but both people need sage to do that one. you need to have it encrypted to make sure its totally safe

Think about how the invoice will appear at the other end depending on the mail client that the recipient is using. The differences when printing between mail clients can be quite large, with all your original formatting of the invoice disappearing in an instant.

The best way is for the invoice to be sent as a pdf document. I wouldn't bother with a password, unless your client got you to sign a confidentiality agreement before. Essentially you want the invoice to be as easily readable as possible, and as easy to print as possible. Pdf fulfills this quite well.

Be careful with the email body though. You could get blocked by an anti-spam filter quite easily simply because you're using a gmail account, and sending the attachment.
