    Vg episode.

Very sentimental in my eyes. Lynn saves the day but it's his life in return. Karma I suppose.
Bye Bye Tony. Guess he definately won't be back this time. :-/
Knew Henderson had to be faking. A former CTU commander he'd have known all the ropes.

What's the story with the Homeland Security? Bill was taken back by her little announcement.

Award for "if looks could kill" goes to Mike. Damn. The look he gave the president when he left him and Marta. Heh.

I will say, after last weeks double, kinda hard to follow and this might be a wee bit of a let down to some, but it's still in the same vein as Hour1.

cant believe they killed off tony. how many characters are left? how is the show going to last with the main character (except for jack) killed off. F****** B*******!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 617 ✭✭✭Dapos

My guess is that with homeland security coming in there are going to be a few new main characters introduced. Is tony definately dead. would of thought he would of got the silent counter ending like edgar. I suppose he was hardly ever going to work for CTU again so they might as well kill him off. Great episode, not as good as E12 but still a class episode. Role on episode 14...

Grand ep, very full of ****e at the same time though. Shame Kims gone again, though I can see her being captured on the way out by the guy who killed Tony :P

Meh. Too much sappy crap and not enough blowing up crap. I was happy to see Jack choking Kims boyfriend though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 617 ✭✭✭Dapos

If you want to see things blowing up watch rambo. Sure wat makes 24 good is it's plots and twists.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭gonementhol

I reckon it was up there as one of the best episodes ever. It's good to see it's still going so strong even in Season 5.

Agreed, but what pisses me off about 24 is the sappy love crap. It's so naff and annoying.

Brilliant episode. Whoever voted "Below Average" - f**k off and watch Desperate Housewives. :D

fair enough, to be honest i prob feel the same way when it comes to the whole jack/ kim relationship.

I can't do this anymore, it was too emotional. :(

    Please Kim, come back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 999 ✭✭✭cregser

    Jack's gonna crack!

I wasn't as entertained as last week. Last week's was like a loada chess pieces (well more like MouseTrap) falling together. This week we're finally seeing the happy family life Jack led for a year starting to slow him down. He's been outta the game too long. But we can't have Jack breaking down every episode now, that wouldn't be 24.

The terrorists using all their nerve gas now tells me they've got something else coming. Should be good.

I liked it, although what struck me was why didn't the hobbits friend run off and grab gas masks and atropezine (sp =/) for themselves? Surely the armoury can't be *that* far away.

I was thinking of this also. Since they held their breath for quite some time, Lynn could of at least saved himself.
However, I would not be sure about the guard. He would have to hold his breath longer.
Anyway, I could not see another use for Lynn, so why not kill him off?
    Bring Kim back I say.

Next weeks episode should be interesting.

yeah it was an ok episode.
that henderson survived and was able to get up and walk is complete bs.
two hilarious moments though...both go out to red shirt (he didnt stand a chance) security guard.

"you mean we're all gonna die because you were embarrassed???"

    "i can breath! i can....ackkkkkkkkkkkk"

    hilarious stuff.

Other moments were pure cheese. but it was ok.

    very sentilmental episode.
I was sad at Tony dying! Didn't expect that at all.

On a totti note, Kims gone.
So no more real nice totti to look at.

average for me, it just didnt live up to previous episodes. thank **** that goatee sporting **** is gone, shame kim is too but i reckon that wasnt the last we will see of her

Crazy episode - 24's goin a bit overkill lately but hey - Im still lovin it! Jack seems to be understandably losing it but its gonna suck without hobbit and edgar (tony's death didnt bother me as much as some people).

People seemed surprised that Robocop came back to life, but hey - thats what he does :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,788 ✭✭✭tvnutz

Ahh man they killed of tony :( whats with killing off all the good characters...Palmer,Michelle (hot!) and tony was cool. Gah,I know shows need to have some change to stay fresh but this was a bit too much.

I knew Lynn would die,saw it coming miles off. good episode, not as exciting as last weeks 2,but still very good and over half way through the season,it has been consistantly good all the way through, something that hasn't happened since season 1.

I think there has to be some conspiracy within the government, henderson says he is protecting his country, the vice president has a serious agenda...should be interesting.

No more Kim :( At least that half naked Russian one should be there next week :D

Anyone notice the guy who the russian chick was sleeping with is Desmond from Lost?

Good episode...but the rating system in the poll isn't great...there is brilliant, and then average...good is better than average but not quite brilliant :p

I was shocked when Tony died! It was an even bigger shock than Edgar last week. Been an amazing couple of episodes.

The homeland security guy who was in the car with the woman seems so dodgy. 'Will all orders go through me?', 'Can I work above Bill Buchanan?', 'Can I replace their agents with my own?', I was half expecting him to ask if he can relay the positions of agents to the terrorists.

Am very sure we haven't seen the last of Kim, Henderson made way too many allusions to how he and his wife were there for her when Jack wasn't for there not to be some follow up. Does she even know he's a bad guy? I can easily see him tricking her and ending up with her as a hostage. And the boyfriend has to die, he's so annoying and I'm not even sure why!

Oh and Chloe was great as ever. Between the way she snapped at the psychiatrist guy and the classic line 'Edgar was a great guy and I treated him like crap every day'

Great great sequence of episodes recently!

Sure wasn't she watching the footage of him being tortured? Kinda weird how even though this man was someone who was there for Kim, she never questioned why he was laid out on a table in CTU being tortured for information. I think I'd be curious :) Great episode all the same. Looks like Jack is going to have more red tape to jump through/destroy when the HS guys arrive. They're bound to want Jack to leave or have him locked up. Me senses another Jack escape coming up!!

Great episode again, I think we will be seeing Kim again alright. I never seen Tony's death coming at all, how Henderson could have faked that is beyond me but that's 24 for you.

    I'm thinking that
the chap doing the interrogation is dirty and was helping Henderson. Not only was Henderson able to withstand the torture but yer man said he was in a coma when he obviously wasn't
    .

It was an amazing episode. But the show is getting hard to watch. I liked Edgar. And I really liked Tony (plus, I positively adored Michelle). So, I'm wondering how much more of this I can stand.

I mean, is Chloe for the chop next?

Truly, on this show nobody is safe. Imagine if Alias had been like this... Only Sydney would be left by now (everyone else would be long dead). Or how about Battlestar Galactica... Adama would have about 4,000 survivors in his rag-tag fugitive fleet. Then there's Lost... half of the regulars would be dead by now.

    24's world is a dangerous world... :(

Woh, they really are dropping like flies this year aren't they. Didn't really care about Tony dieing, he hasn't done much in the 12 episodes so far anyway as he was unconscious for most of it.

I wouldn't have thought that that much nerve gas would have gotten into the room when Lynn opened the door. As for getting gas masks and putting them on, it wouldn't have worked. The air between the mask and your face would be contaminated when you put it on, and this would be enough to kill you. Did anyone else try holding their breath with Jack when he went into the first room? I didn't bother with Lynn though, he can go and die on his own :p

Henderson faking a coma, that's a good one. He must be like Jack mk II or something, the guy's fupping invincible.

So what for Kim now, will she get kidnapped by Henderson on the way out? Or perhaps she'll run into the evil Ori master Prior guy on his way to setting off all the gas.

And finally, what's the real target? They're going to set off all the gas there anyway. Maybe the Presidents retreat?

I'll have to abstain from voting, this was way better than average, but not quite up to 'Bloody hell! Brilliant!' standards. Very good certainly, but not as good as the last few weeks.

Thats what the atropezine is for to counter the effects of the nerve gas. Put on mask, inject and breathe. Your simple 3 step guide to avoid vx1 nerve gas!

I'm still undecided as to whether Michelle is dead. Maybe she's workin with Henderson and part of this big conspiracy, whatever it is. There have been no major twists in this series so far and I'm amazed the gas story is still going. There must be a major change coming if it's to follow the usual 24 structure. Still great though.

Next week on 24.... Jack is a terrorist emot-v.gif

I have got to get a degree in Clinical Psychology and trick all the hot girls into going out with me just like Kims guy.

I held my breath with Jack :E , plus there were nearly tears for Tony and also for that guard saying goodbe to his daughter :(

Ahhh,I really think Michelle is dead. They only person that I think might possibly be alive is Palmer, but I doubt it. The only reason I say this,is some post I read on IMDb about how when they show his body covered in a sheet, they focus in on his hand. And people were saying there was so scar on the hand (from his bio attack). I don't remember if it was there or not,but its an interesting little theory. I stll think he is dead though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,388 ✭✭✭Cina

Ah they really shouldn't have killed off Tony. Bar jack he was easily the best of the old characters and him and Jack always had a great hit and miss relationship. The writers must not think that far ahead, because Tony has been listed in the credits the entire season yet only appears in the opener and the last 2/3. It seems they got themselves into a corner by blowing him up aswell as Michelle in the first episode and only then realised there was nothing they could do with him. I will miss Tony, a really great character and apart from Kim, the last remaining characters from the oldies :(
Also, I think it's a bit ridiculous that Edgar got the silent clock at the end and Tony didn't!

i fell behind my about... 7 weeks of late, and only caught up this weekedn (woo! major 24 marathon, greta way to spend a fridya night!) but i still have thje very latest one to see...

    WOW
    is all i'll say.

    i love this show.

Poor Edgar, i almost had a tear in my eye (im a girl, im allowed :D ), even though he annoyed me.
and i really didnt see tony's death coming, fair play to the scriptwriters.

this was from a few episodes back, but i couldnt be bothered finding the thread.. but what a classic Jack Bauer moment when he survived the explosion in the office, and hid under the floor panels.

    fabulous!

aye, in the room and Henderson strategically left a bomb thingy on the desk and left..

cue Jack going "damn it... how could i be so stupid!" (or something  )

but alas, he comes up with a master plan..

    put bomb in between doors.
put drawers in front of door.
    lift floor thingy.
    hide.

    BOOM!
    *explosion*

    YAY!
*jack pops up from under the floor*

    pure magic ;)
