What a double shootout on Pokerstars?

See they have them for WSOP qualification. Anyone played them?

a shootout is a mtt where you only stay on the one table until 1 person has all the chips, a double shootout probably means if you win 2 tables you go to the WSOP

So whats it called when there's one free rebuy? Green Joker Poker are starting a €100 one in Drogheda next week. Double Chance I presume.

I played a few Double Shootouts on Stars last year, won satellites (very soft $5 rebuys) into most but bought directly into the rest (bye bye STT profits). Standard isn't particularly high. As long as there are the full 81 players, if you win your 1st table the final table is almost like a freeroll into the WSOP, as 1st gets a ticket, 2nd-8th get $150 (IIRC) and 9th gets $30.

I think the DS is the 'STT specialist' way to a Stars WSOP package...I would stick to the $33 rebuy 1 seat guaranteed or, even better, the weekly $630 (or whatever) GF tournaments if I were more confident of my tournament play.

I couldn't even get registered for the damned thing. Dial up was too slow. But I'd like to give it a go. Played the $33 rebuy and was going very well in it until I got sucked out on by two bizarre plays. One I have pocket sevens and bet heavy on a j32 rainbow flop. Guy bets all in... 600 more to me with 17k in the pot. I am priced in of course and all the guy has is KQ off... no draws nada... He hits the Q on the river.

I finally went out when I pushed with AK and got called with 88. I felt the standard of play was not great. The touneys are easily winnable... and I agree the Sunday sats might represent best value.
