itunes problem

allo, im havin a problem with the sound on itunes, the prob being no sound... it works with all my other progs and before ya say it the sound is up!! im stumped, is there a way to select the output with itunes?? thanks, Richie

What version of iTunes?
What ver. OS?

Have you tried re-installing iTunes?
Have you tried re-installing the soundcards driver?
Have you tried a Windows System Restore? [If available]

Windows xp sp2

yep tried reinstalling
yep tried re-installing sound card driver
yep tried restore

all without any luck!! anyone any other ideas??

Does your computer/soundcard have any management software (To add effects,etc.)? Try disabling it (via MSCONFIG & reboot). Or, disable possibly conflicting settings in iTunes (Edit->Preferences-> Audio Playback or Effects).
