Ideas for break after college

I'm finishing college in June & I'd like to go somewhere for 3/4 weeks afterwards, probably with my girlfriend. Problem is, I really don't know where.

Anyone got any ideas for a great getaway break for a few weeks? I was thinking interrailing, but I'm not really on for too much backpacking. I dont mind the rough living, its the hauling around of bags that would annoy me.

I know this might sound like a clueless post, but some random ideas would be good!

You should go to Thailand, if your not a big fan of backpacking then just chill out in some nice resort on the beach. Its so cheap over there and you'd have a ball.

Funny, I was talking to someone last night who really recommended it too. Will look into it, cheers.

    Any other suggestions welcome!

Do as you are told. Go to cheap asian countries. Esp Thailand, picturesque amazing.

I never thought Id be able to backpack but in Thailand you can stay in such comfort for so little its not like backpacking atall

Cool, sounding better by the minute.

I see another thread regarding cheap flights to Bangkok, which I may check out, Failing that, where would one get the cheapest flights to Thailand online? I assume you'd go into Bangkok and take it from there.

Anyone got any general routes around the country that they'd advise?

Ill give you a quick summary of our trip.

We landed in BK after spending time in Singapore and HongKong. We didnt want to stay there long and went straight to Chang Mai. Really enjoyed up there got first views of temples etc and done a 1 day trek, would have done a longer one but the missus is not the fittest. Overnight stays in the villages are supposed to be good + opium sessions. Cant comment as all Ive heard are stories.
We went from there to Pai for 2-3 days and came out bleery eyed 6 days later. Total hippy town, dont smoke myself but thoroughly enjoyed it, and saw our first full moon party here. We went into Laos >> Vietnam >> Cambodia from here and then back to BK.
From here we went up to Kanchanaburi to see the tiger temple where monks and tigers live together and you get to have your photo taken with the tigers. Absolutly amazing experience well worth an over night trip.
We then headed down to the islands for diving and the full moon party. We did our PADI open water course on Ko Phangnan ant stayed on Ban Kai, which is one beach back from the Full moon party beach and would reccomend the party.
Didnt do the west coast islands, just after tsunam, so Im sure others can let you know about that.
