Avatars not on boards.ie options

Hello i want to add an avatar to my profile, but i dont want to use one of the boards.ie ones. how can i put my avatar on my profile? in the user cp i can only see the option to add a boards.ie avatar.... thanks :)

ooh ive just been reading through some old threads on here and is it true that custom avatars are actually not allowed??

You can subscribe to boards and have that option. Click my signature to see info.
