Thinking of removing a storage heater in my living room. Is it the sort of thing a total noob can do or would it be better to involve an electrician?

I have a storage heater to move from one wall to another in the same room - how did you get on ? Those things are damn heavy!

    cheers

You should be able to switch these off at the fuseboard. Make sure there is no power getting to them!!. If you take the front panel off them you will see they are full of bricks. Take the bricks out carefully and the heater unit itself is very light.
