    Hi,

I'd like to have two columns in excel with the date and time in the format '11.03.2006 11:12:18' (one column) and be able to find the difference in time in mins or hours between the two columns.

    Can anyone help me?

    Many thanks.

first, youll need to custom format the cell to match the date your entering in excel,
    your using
    dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm:ss
as far as i can see

    then use this formula
    =TEXT(B1-A1,"hh:mm:ss")

    to get the time diff
