Is Moscow In Trouble?

Does anyone know? Any rumour you may have heard?

Has drifted alarmingly on the exchanges ........... freely available now at 9.5 to back on Betdaq. Such a huge lengthening of odds suggests all is not right with the horse. But I have seen no comment to this effect from Jessica. Such a big price would suggest that he may not even run. This big price cannot be solely due to negative views of the Leopardstown work-out. As far as I know Harrington's horses are due to travel over tomorrow.

I have an ante-post on Moscow but I'm thinking of laying it off at a considerable loss.

Yeah moscow appears to be in trouble.

I backed him today at 10.5 merely cause Ive built up a lot of money on Kauto Star (my nap of the meeting for anyone whos interested) so ive got a good book on either of them winning.

I wonder why the bookies havnt reacted in the same regard. Still generally 3/1 & 7/2. And kauto Star still 2/1.

I think his season so far reflects more 9/1 than 3/1 anyway

rag2gar, my opinion is that if there is nothing amiss with Moscow then your 10.5 is the value bet of the entire festival. Even if the horse has gone back a stone on last year he is still above this lot with no Well Chief or Azerty present.

However, and unfortunately, I cannot see these prices being offered unless someone knows that there is something amiss with Moscow.

Re bookies prices, probably in the morning we will see a corresponding drift in their prices.

It seems Moscow will run barring injury!
But Jessie appears to be a bit downhearted regarding the horse's attitude and sparkle.

    Odds drift on Champion chaser

    by Jon Lees (11/03/2006)

JESSICA HARRINGTON on Friday gave an assurance that all was well with Moscow Flyer after his odds began to drift significantly for Tuesday’s Champion Chase.
VCbet suspended betting for an hour blaming negative vibes from Ireland, and when trading resumed last year’s champion was out to 9-2 (from 3-1), while the horse was available to back at 9.6 and 15 to lay with Betfair by 5pm.

Moscow Flyer has been beaten in both starts this season and failed to show the anticipated sparkle when schooling and working at Leopardstown on Sunday.

However, he was included among 16 acceptors for the Champion Chase and he is due to travel to Cheltenham on Saturday night with Champion Hurdle challenger Macs Joy.

“He was perfectly sound this morning and had his picture taken,” said Harrington of Moscow Flyer.

“He seems to be in very good form and good in himself, so I can’t do any more and he heads over tomorrow night with Macs Joy. The rest will travel over on Tuesday.”
