Overseas Haulage Recommendations for PC

Hi guys, i have recently come across a bargin online for 3 mac pc's. The mac's are located in New Jersey, so i would need to pay for haulage from the states to Cork. Can anyone recommend a company for long haulage. The weight of the pc's is 90 pounds btw.

I would try Fed-Ex, ring them and let them know the story, they might be able to help you out with a quote.

What's the name of the company? I bought a few iBooks from a New Jersey based company a while back.

TBH, if you want the mac's within two weeks, it will cost you a fortune. If are willing to wait (IE ground shipping) then it will cost less.

Use www.everymac.com to get the weight (or mass for the pedantic) of the computers you are buying and use an online calculator to estimate shipping:

www.fedex.com
www.ups.com
www.usps.com (most likely chepest)

As unkel said, you will be hit with Vat when they hit the shore here. You will also pay the vat on the shipping at import its a double whammy.

Lastly the shipping company will also charge around €12.50 per parcel\package for the pleasure of putting it through customs for you.

cheers for the replies lads. I'll phone or two of those companies tonight and see what best suits me. I'll need to take a look at the taxes as well, i havent really considered them. Cheers

I imagine you would have to pay the VAT @ 21%

looks like taxes will probably raise the price by almost 50% with delivery by sea at nearly €150 (rough estimate)....it's worth it thou
