Those of you who I've asked for help know that Ive been pretty indecisive about parts: either because they couldnt ship, I couldnt afford or I was just told Im not allowed to purchase them.

Well on Sunday I finally ordered my parts for a new computer, with the intention of salvaging my existing computer for parts (read: cd and floppy drive and harddrive)

I actually got off school early today, for something else and was happy like you wouldnt believe to see the parts came. Carrying the tower into my house from the sorting office was a ***** to do. :D

I'd just like to emphasise how crap this computer is now.
    128mb SD ram.
    P4 @ 1500mhz.
    32mb geforce2 (;_;)
    and a 250gb HD.

    Now Ive upgraded to:
    Geforce 6800GS* https://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=315184
    AMD 3500+ https://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=307203
    1gig of ram (*fap*) https://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=301115
Motherboard! Yay! [I dont know much about these...] https://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=307700
    A pimpin fan: https://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=316880
    DVD rewriter: https://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=314090

As well as a nice big-tower. I never actually have seen a big-tower before, and was surprised to see it comes past my knee lol. I cant wait to fiddle around with the lcd panel and stuff. A big plus is the clock since Im semi-obsessed with knowing the time. ;<_<

That's it, quite an upgrade from what I have, if I say so myself.

Now, just to wait til Saturday for Gar (forget his name on here) to come build it and stuff.

Im no expert but I don't think that Ram is compatible with your AMD setup. Maybe someone else will confirm

    It's not :(

Unless you got PC3200 (or greater) DDR ram (note: Not DDR2), I'm afraid you're fscked.

Oh poopy, looks like you'll be waiting another while before you get that one up and running.

He bought DDR2 memory for a DDR motherboard, return to Komplett unopened.

    Hmm,
Looks like the guys are right....
Probably because you had to order different RAM than the one originally picked out. Sure give komplett a call and send it back, order the new one and bobs your uncle
