    I don't write poetry, but for some reason I found myself doing so a while ago, when having an arguemtn with some friends...a very serious one. I'd be interested to hear what other people have to say about it, and don't hold back or anything, because I don't have my hopes set on becoming a famous poet.. And it's nice and short, too, so it won't get progressively worse (for long anyway)!

    Loyalty

    What have I done,
    Now or then to anyone,
    To make them scorn me so?
    Lies, deceit, and their
    Spiteful hate replace
    Friendship’s fleeting glow.

    Regretful and unfortunate- that set
    Of circumstances, which come to this I have let
    And it these events I curse.
    Yet no trespass have I made before in time
    To make her friends and mine,
    Of me believe the worst.

    But length of time and loyalty
    In Friendship exceed honesty
    She they heed, me and mine they shun;
    They will not listen, I am undone.
