    Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap way of hooking my GC up to a flat panel monitor. The quality must be fairly good. Has anyone got any ideas or has anyone actually done it. I have both a VGA and DVI socket, however the VGA is taken up by my computer.

You need a US Gamecube and (I think) US games to go in it. The PAL Gamecube has no digital output.

Is it an NTSC console you have? The early PAL Gamecubes had the extra port I think, but I'm not sure if they output a proper de-interlaced VGA-type image through it.

If you have an NTSC console with the digital port you can get a modified component cable from the likes of www.lan-kwei.com that will give you VGA. You can then use a VGA to DVI converter, but if you could put the VGA directly to your monitor it would be better.

    Edit: According to this:

if your PAL GC has the second port it will output component with the component (or modified component) cable.
