Can any of you smart folk advice on the cheapest telephone provider. I have been with UTV over the past two years with free evening and weekend calls to Eire and UK.

I tried Blueface but the quality is too bad. I have an NTL broadband connection.

    any advice greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Dopey

Wih BtIreland myself. Broadband, line rental and unlimited calls to landlines in Ireland (24/7) all for €64 per month. I find their prices great but as most people will tell you their customer care is pure $hit.

I was with them too for over 4 years, then they started double charging me repeatedly and I had no satisfaction from their customer care.
Finally managed to dump them for BT after 4 months of them freezing my line.
    Pure cowboys.

Is it possible to change from UTV to Euphony? I thought you had to be with Eircom to do so? Also does the line rental stay with UTV??

Unless you are under contract you can choose whichever carrier you like for your calls and/or your line rental

Try http://www.telestunt.ie for cheap international calls.

    By the way...
"Éire" --> when writing in Irish
"Ireland" --> when writing in English
as per article 4 of the constitution

    Hi,,

I have been using VOIPSTUNT over the last few months and get free calls from my PC to all landlines across Europe and mobile phones + landlines in the U.S. It's great to be saving a fortune. Sometimes the line quality is not the best (but it could be my crappy Irish BroadBand connection: I'm looking forward to change provider at the end of the contract in three months) but most times the sound quality is fine and it's a great service especially if you call abroad often....all free
