Will ladbrokes be doing another one of these things. €25 FO with 5k starting chips and 30 minute blinds. Sounds like a decent cheapo tourney to me.

I didnt qualify as the bad beat thread will atest.

Its on saturday week and I have been talking with Christian Harris, the man in charge, so I will post all relevent details soon.

Looks like a nice setup, especially considering the winner will play in a 20k event which only has 2 tables as far as i know.

    of the

Cheers. Was it you who had the 96 of hearts against my aces to knock you out?

hehehhe... yea... i figured if i push with that hand they'd at least be live! you knocked my mate anto who runs the dit poekr soc with me out as welll with your 88 against his KQ. We're were discussing it after and we had you as our favourite unless the guy who had the HUGE stack at the final table kept hitting cards... i'm guessing his rush ended at the last table.:p

Well we had a mammoth headsup battle for 2 hours. I had a nice read on him at the start, calling him down with Q high and the like, but I tried to push too hard a couple of times, like trying to get him to fold QQ on a 5577 board. I gave up the chip lead so many times before coming back again and again. At one stage I had 18k in chips to his his 270k with the blinds at 3k-6k. He said he was too afraid to double me up at one stage which allowed me to make a lot of steals when I was short. I eventually got a huge chip lead and didn't give it up.

My favourite hand on the final table was when I raised with 32diamonds, got two callers and I lead into a 732 flop. Some kid re-raises all in with 99 and I instacall. The poor guy didn't know what hit him and kept saying: "How can you raise with 32?" He was absolutely shocked. :D

hehehhe, love it!! the fella you were heads up against i've played a few times in college... he's a fairly aggressive player if my memory is correct... when is the 20k game?

I don't have a clue yet to be honest. I'm waiting for an email from ladbrokes.

Thought this was a really well run tourny.Managed to get to headsup with cardshark but 2 grueling hours later he took it down. Was so refreshing for there actually to be a little bit of play left when it got to heads up.

Not sure where it went wrong when I got that huge chiplead,my actual plan was to take a shot at you with any two which i duely did with my j2 v a2. After that double up I tried to wait for a hand however in retrospect I probably should have taken another stab with any two and hoped to outdraw you. Felt that you had a little bit more left in the locker than me at the end, so this could well have been the best tactic. The aq v ak hand preflop allin effectivly ended this as a contest, I was beat from that moment on.Well played though you deserved it,from playing with you at cash tables knew you would be a threat. On a side note have you recieved an email concerning pay out yet?

It was a very tough headsup match. Could have gone either way really. I've been in that situation where I've held a huge chiplead only for my opponent to come back from nowhere. I was lucky to find AJ vs your KQ and AK vs your AQ but other than that it was a pretty even match.

I have to say I was very pleased with the structure for such a small buyin and even the ladbrokes guys said they thought our headsup was of a higher quality than the other qualifiers so I guess if you had won you'd probably do very well in this tournament.

Speaking of which I haven't heard anything yet from them regarding the prize and everything. I'm sure I'll here something soon enough anyways.

Well played anyway and I hope the rest of the players I face won't be as tough as you cos then I will hopefully have a decent chance at a nice score.

OK who is it? Some idiot hasn't registered with ladbrokes yet and until they do I can't get my prize. I don't think anyone who won credit in this event have had their accounts credited. Seemingly, ladbrokes will only pay the prizewinners once all of them are registered. So hurry the fúck up whoever it is cos having to wait over a week for my prize is pissing me off.

Ok that is probably me-didnt have ladbrokes account so have to set up a total betting something or other in an actual bookies. Will do it tomorrow, that is the most ridiculous thing ever though. Also was speaking to another guy from final table who said he hadnt even recieved an email yet...so might not be the only culprit. Will sort my side out tomorrow apologies wasnt aware of the situation.keep me posted.

Ah its ok. Have been hassling the guys who ran the SPO event and he said he was waiting on one guy to register or something. When I found out that was the reason I was pretty pissed off. I told him that surely ladbrokes would be better off giving the prizewinners the funds asap cos they're losing out on potential rake. Anyways, hopefully its you cos then I've found the 'culprit' and we can get our money soon.

EDIT: Oh and by the way, you don't have to go to a ladbrokes bookies to set it up. Just download it and set it up like you would any other site. Go to http://www.studentpokeropen.com/ and follow the instructions.

Problem is I dont have a credit card and was unable to sign up without these details. Will set it up tomorrow-again apologies. Very strange policy regarding payout though.

Ah you don't need to do that. Although I have a credit card, I didn't need to give any details of it to ladbrokes. I just chose to skip that part. Your account can still recieve credit without having a full betting account afaik. I don't see why not. Once you're reg'd with the SPO site and have a ladbrokes account thats all that matters. If you've already done that then it must be someone else. I don't know either of the other two who won the credit so if anyone knows either of the guys make sure they set things up asap. If i don't get my money tomorrow I'm gonna mailbomb the guys running this thing.

By the way, my frustration was not meant to be vented towards you so don't worry about apologising.
